To you Mom

I just can't go to sleep. I keep on thinking how strong you've always been as a Mother. I wish I had your powerful energy sometimes!

Presently in Haïti helping others as a nurse, I dedicate this poem to you.

I often contemplate my childhood, Mom.
I am a mother now, and so I know
Hard work is mixed together with the fun;
You learned that when you raised me long ago.

I think of all the things you gave to me:
Sacrifice, devotion, love and tears,
Your heart, your mind, your energy and soul;
All these you spent on me throughout the years.

You loved me with a never-failing love
You gave me strength and sweet security,
And then you did the hardest thing of all:
You let me separate and set me free.

Every day, I try my best to be
A mother like the mom you were to me.

My introduction to you

Dear you, dear reader,

I'm so happy you're finally around. I'm so happy to get the chance to do what I enjoy the most, writing. Whether it's writing about everything, writing about me, my life, my family, my friends, my faith, my feelings and so on, I just enjoy it.

Through my blogg, I'll do my very best to make you understand sometimes in English, sometimes in French what my weekly or daily life is all about.

I was saying, I'll do my best to make you understand how I feel about being a soon to be 40, stay-at-home Mother of a 3 month old baby girl nicknamed "Pinky" and a 10 years old daughter nicknamed "Poulette" and of course, I can't forget, a wonderful wife of a very powerful Hubby nicknamed "Marty".

Hope my story will inspire you to join in and share with me your thoughts, your comments, your everyday life, your opinion, your faith in God, your interests, etc....

Take Care,

Gen
